Meet the Van with No Name

When Harry and I started thinking about getting a campervan a few years back, we realised everyone who had a van seemed to give it a name. These ranged from the musical (van Morrison) to the gothic (van Helsing). Vanessa, Vantastic, Vanventures, Galivanting and similar puns popped up frequently on the vanlife feeds.
We decided never to name our camper. That didn’t stop friends, family and colleagues from suggesting a range of van names. Many of these cheekily hinted at activities that one might get up to in one’s campervan… If one didn't have a jealous chaperone called Gina, that is. Seriously, that dog watches our every move like a (very hairy) hawk.
Never mind all that – the Van with No Name will be my mode of transportation, home and office all rolled into one for much of 2025-2026. Snippets from our travels will appear on Instagram: @_vanwithnoname
